Trump National Doral Wedding
Miami Wedding PhotographerMiami and Palm Beach are among the most popular wedding destinations in America ... and it makes perfect sense with so many world-class wedding venues, experienced professional wedding vendors, and a mild winter climate—notably from December through April—for spectacular outdoor ceremonies. Plus, guests traveling from out-of-state will have nearly endless entertainment options on their hands before and after the wedding. The Trump National Doral is among our favorite wedding venues in Florida since its grounds and gardens are sufficiently large to accommodate Orthodox Jewish Weddings where the bride and groom are separated at times during the wedding day (i.e., during getting-ready, the Tish and Bedecken, as well for portions of the reception and dance).
The bride wanted her makeup to look soft and natural. We went with a light-brown smokey eye to create a confident glamorous look.

A one-of-a-kind couture gown by Teri Jon
Typically, wedding dress shopping goes something like this: search the internet, Pinterest, and bridal publications for labels and styles you like, and then head over to local bridal boutiques to try on samples until you fall in love with something. That wasn't the case for our bride, however, since her mom was the founder and creative visionary behind Teri Jon.
Rickie took it upon herself to design a one-of-a-kind dream couture gown ... hand-tailored to the bride's aesthetic and measurements in only three weeks! It was the first bridal Teri Jon in 35 years ... and, spoiler alert, look out for a Teri Jon Bridal Collection coming soon!
The bride's bridal bouquet included a cascade of stunning white phalaenopsis orchids to complement the classic, timeless elegance of her wedding gown.

One-on-one with Ellen Adelsberg (Lead Planner for Parties by Ellen), your Event Planner extraordinaire
What’s your most important advice to couples planning their wedding?
I ask my couples to first come up with a wedding day wish-list, prioritizing what’s most important to them; once I understand their expectations, it’s typically a smooth process. Ultimately, it’s most important that the couple be “on the same page” with a unified vision.
What’s the secret to a wedding celebration that’s fun, entertains, and is unforgettable?
The couple. Guests will feed off the energy and love of the couple. I find that my clients that allow themselves to have fun and enjoy their wedding end up having the most memorable celebrations.
What was your favorite part of their wedding day?
The expression of love and admiration on the groom’s face when he saw his bride under the Chuppah … surrounded by their respective families … as the soft golden light illuminated their faces against the majestic Trump National Doral golf course.
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy connecting with my clients and their families. It’s a great privilege to be part of such a momentous occasion in people’s lives. I also love my clients' reaction when they see months of planning come to fruition.
If a bride asks Parties by Ellen to plan their wedding, what should she expect?
She should expect her ideas and wishes to become reality. No detail is too small and no challenge too big. Parties by Ellen will help a bride build her registry, shop for her bridal gown, conceive of fabulous floral design, create a dream tablespace, and design her dance floor with the most fun party of her life in mind.
Tell us one thing about Ellen Adelsberg that people don’t know.
I hold myself and my vendor team to the highest standards, but my three grandsons can get away with anything!
For the escort card table, I decided to step out of the wedding's predominantly white theme and instead embraced color to create a one-of-a-kind, enchanting statement piece that the guests would pass on their way into the ballroom. The place cards were positioned on seven reflective pedestals, which in turn were under what appeared to be a floating canopy of fabulous cascading flowers.

When a bride goes with a more delicate floral variety for her bouquet, I highly recommend a duplicate bouquet. We all know bouquets can be subject to a little abuse during the reveal, family portraits, and other pre-ceremony activities. Commissioning a second bouquet will ensure that her bouquet looks magnificent when she walks down the aisle.

For the bridal canopy, I used a cascade of orchids mixed with hydrangeas and roses around the top of the structure. The transparent lucite pillars created the impression of a “floating” Chuppah ... harmoniously blending with the magnificent golf course backdrop.

I used all-white florals for the reception décor ... the idea was to put a modern twist on a classic design. For the ballroom, I created two brand new centerpiece designs: the tall centerpiece included a strong, oversized grouping of multiple white floral varieties and is sure to be a popular trend heading into 2019. It's harmonious yet bold grouping allows each individual flower to make an impact.
